Update 06/16/2024: Database Changes

Hello all, just another round of changes to Abilities. Reasoning for the changes will be written where applicable.


  • Thoughtseize Reworked - this is a change that was announced in a hotfix, so this is already live.
    • Signature
      • The GM tells you the Names and Tiers of the first three Prepared Abilities of a Combatant within Near range.
    • 4th Tier
      • Reduced to 3rd Tier
      • the GM tells you the Names and Tiers of the first [three/five/seven] Prepared Abilities and the current Focus of a Target Combatant within Near.
    • Command
      • You see the Library of a Combatant you see within Far. As a Constant effect until the end of this encounter, You may choose a Combatant you can see within Far at the beginning of each of your turns. Learn their current Focus and Attributes.
  • Vengeful Smite (White Tiered Spell) - this is a change that was announced in a hotfix, so this is already live.
    • Corrected to say another Ally so it now works as intended (triggering the additional damage only from )
  • Totem Warrior (Green Mastery) - this is a change that was announced in a hotfix, so this is already live.
    • Trigger corrected to be “The first time” instead of “Whenever”
  • Spiteful Specter (Tiered Black Skill)
    • Tier Raised to 2 from 1
  • Substitution (Tiered Blue Skill)
    • Tier Lowered to 3 from 4
    • This and the change to Spiteful Specter were made with the other in mind. They both did similar things but Substitution did slightly more than Specter (which I may monitor further for rewording or reworking), so their costs were "moved" closer to each other.
  • Combative Prayer (White Mastery)
    • Now grants Counters only on successful WIL rolls (To incentivize investment into your WIL)
    • Faith Counter usage is limited to once each turn. (More of a further clarification than an imposed limit.)
  • Full-Bodied Charge (RG Mastery) Reworked
    • You cannot gain bonuses to Damage from any other sources. Whenever you Attack, gain +X Forward to Damage, where X is your THP, then your THP is halved, rounded down.
    • (FBC was intended to incentivize more defensive builds, but after allowing it to convert received Damage bonuses into THP anyway, it just became an easy source of survivability for damage-based characters in Red and Green, all for the low price of 2 EXP and one Signature/Mastery slot.)
  • Armored Heart (WR Mastery) Reworked
    • You cannot gain bonuses to Attacks from any other sources. Gain +X to Attacks, where X is half your Armor, rounded down.
    •  (Armored Heart isn't as affected by this due to how Armor is acquired, but it's receiving a similar rework to mirror what's been done here.)

ADDENDUM:

  • New Artillery Caster (URG Mastery)
    • Damage dealt by Spells you Cast is increased by your personal Damage Die.
  • New Arcane Reach (U Mastery)
    • Take -2 to Non-Mageblade Attacks. Sorceries you Cast that Target exactly one Combatant have their range replaced with your Mainhand Weapon's Range Tag.
