Update 01/18/2024: Balance Changes

Hello! Some hotfixes to the  Ability and Item Database. Some big changes are expected soon, with Enchantment support coming soon, followed by Creature Support. Consider this a prelude to those changes, as I am getting these out of the way before the scarier updates hit.

  • Abilities
    • Defensive Maneuver - Raise to T3 from T2
      • (For what it gives you (which is a lot), 2 Focus at base effect felt too low. Plus, there's the versatility of using this on enemies instead of allies for that Damage reduction.)
    • Genesis Wave SIG - Buff to Grant 2 Focus
      • (As opposed to Cultivate's SIG, this grants the same Focus but has a restriction, so the Focus it granted was increased. )
    • Gambit SIG - Buffed to grant 4 Chaos Counters
      • (This is in opposition to Wheel of Fortune's Signature. Originally both granted 2 Counters but Gambit went on a coin flip.)
    • Gambit TIER - Buffed to grant more Chaos Counters.


      •  (These buffs simply came as a ripple effect to changing the SIG.)
    • Raise Dead SIG buffed - “Costs 2 or less Focus” from 1 or less Focus.
      • (Similar to Genesis Wave vs Cultivate, Raise Dead was compared against Vigor Mortis. since Reanimate just restores a cast of the Creature, Raise Dead deserves more leeway.)

  • ItemsThese changes were mainly to differentiate some weapons that seemed to have identical or near-identical tags.


    • Rapier - Damage reduced to 1d4 from 1d6
      • (for the amount of armor it granted, 1d6 damage was too high in comparison)
    • Dagger and Throwing Dagger - Merged.
      • (What remains is a Dagger with Throwing Dagger's tags)
    • Wooden Club - Armor increased to +2 from +1
    • Mace - Damage increased to 1d8  from 1d6
    • Greataxe - Damage reduced to 1d12 from 2d10
    • Quarterstaff - Damage increased to 1d8 from 1d6
